Platinum7, Inc., Lead Designer, contract– July 2009 to Dec 2009
In my role as Lead Designer for Platinum7, I was mainly responsible for the redesign of the company's visual identity and web presence as well as leading a team of developers and designers in their implementation. Unfortunately the company never had a clear focus and was, subsequently, constantly reinventing itself. My last project there was a redesign of their recently launched web presence. I reluctantly left before it was completed.

AOL Advertising, Contract Designer – May 2008 to Present
As a Contract Designer at AOL Advertising, my services were used when quick turnaround was essential. Supplementing the in-house design department, I was responsible for creating design products for use within the San Francisco office and its related functions. Products included: Business cards, letterhead, HTML emailers, PowerPoint presentations, t-shirt designs and large-format printed signage, among others.

PRK Kreative, Contract Designer – Nov 2007 to July 2009
As a Contract Designer at PRK Kreative, liasing with the principals at PRK as well as directly with clients, I was responsible for the creation of site designs that satisfied functional and aesthetic requirements on time and within budget. This generally involved ground-up designs that established the user experience of the entire site. These were then handed off to the developement team for implementation.

Dow Jones MarketWatch, Senior Designer – Mar 1998 to Mar 2008
As Senior Designer at Dow Jones MarketWatch (formerly CBS) I was responsible for the creation of illustrations and infographics to compliment real-time financial news articles, Flash-based interactive features, page layouts for special features and various marketing materials.

Also, in my earlier years at MarketWatch, I was heavily involved in the creation of highly-successful proposals and final products for our many advertising clients, including: Budweiser, American Airlines, Charles Schwab, De Beers and Stoli Vodka to name a few. I am very proud of this work as we were on the cutting edge in the transition from standard banner ads to the more targeted, dynamic advertising we see online today.

In my time there, I worked closely with the Creative Director, Editor in Chief, Managing Editor and VPs of both Ad Sales and Marketing, among others and was an important player in our transition from start up to publicly-traded financial-news powerhouse.
